Nancy Mason

Nancy Mason

Nancy Mason has been answering the phones and greeting our customers with a smile since 2003. Originally from New Castle County, Nancy previously worked for a developer in the Pike Creek area for many years before relocating to the rural Georgetown area in 1994. After a couple of years of retirement, Nancy decided to re-join the workforce working for the Acme in Millsboro until it closed in 2002. Nancy made the decision to join our team, and she's been here ever since. Nancy currently lives in rural Frankford. She has two (2) adult children and five (5) grandchildren. What Nancy enjoys most about being in Sussex County are the local festivities. You can bet that Nancy will be there every year at events such as Ocean City's Sun Fest, Bridgeville's Apple Scrapple, Millsboro's Big Thursday, and the many parades, car shows, and more.

Sharon Thompson

Sharon Thompson

Sharon Thompson has been with Lester Realty since 2001. Many already know that Sharon is Nancy's daughter, and also originally from New Castle County. Sharon relocated to Sussex County in 1997, where she worked in a medical facility for several years, then a local community center where she was introduced to Ed Lester. The rest, as they say, is history. Since 2001, Sharon has been working on the "behind the scenes" aspects of Lester Realty, with things like advertising, updating tools and technology, managing the rental accounts, and supervising the legal documents, contracts, closings, and a all of the other items that assure quality in our transactions. Sharon is a licensed REALTOR(R), and currently the assistant to Broker Ed Lester, and prides herself at being available as a helping hand to both clients and staff. Sharon lives in the heart of the Town of Georgetown with her husband Brian, and their two sons. Although she's always available to help Lester Realty staff and clients, Sharon's time away from the office is spent riding her sport bike, spending time with her family, drawing and sketching, and enjoying the warmer seasons outdoors, either at home or at our beautiful beaches.

Lester Realty, Inc. Brokers

Ed Lester

Ed Lester

Ed Lester, Broker and owner of Lester Realty, is a real estate household name in the Georgetown community. Back in the early 70s, he began his real estate career in Georgetown and has been here ever since, serving the Georgetown and surrounding communities. Ed is proud that his many years of service to the Town outshines the longevity of all other realtors in the area.

Throughout the years, Ed has seen many changes in the real estate business, and has been an integral part of Georgetowns growth. Responsible for projects such as The Wal-Mart complex, the Comfort Inn, the Georgetown Plaza Shopping Center, Arbys, Burger King, and other popular franchises, along with many other commercial and residential entities, Ed is pleased that throughout the years, his efforts have resulted not only in increased business for the Town, but increased job opportunities and housing opportunities for its residents. Lester Realty offers a full-service staff of full-time REALTORS(s), another unique quality, which Ed sees as a major asset of his company.

His involvement in the Town has not ended with his dedication to Lester Realty. He served a two-year term as Georgetowns mayor, and during that term promoted an 11-million dollar sewer expansion referendum, a capitol improvement fund for street maintenance in the Town, a resolution to change excessive Town licensing fees, and promoted a more business-friendly relationship with businesses. He and his wife, Lynn, are owners of the historic Brick Hotel on The Circle in Georgetown, fulfilling another opportunity to give back to the community through the restoration of this piece of history.

Ed is also an active board member of the Georgetown Boys and Girls Club. In 1980, he served as president of the Sussex County Board of Realtors, of which he has been a member since 1970. He and his wife, Lynn, live in Georgetown, but enjoy spending a lot of their time at their "home away from home" on the Indian River. Daughter and son-in-law, Drs. Brooke and Lee Darmstadter, are both pharmacists and live in Wilmington. Daughter, Jaime, is an elementary school teacher working and living in the Atlanta, Georgia area.
